In 2017, Emily choreographed the closing number for a decades-themed cabaret at Starlight Ranch in Amarillo, Texas. Although the event was cancelled shortly after dress rehearsal due to extenuating circumstances, she appreciated the opportunity to set her work, a high energy jazz piece to Bruno Mars' "Uptown Funk", on fifteen professional dancers.
