Emily received a certification in Cinema and Recording Arts from Tulsa Technology Center in May 2015. As part of the program, she learned to record, mix, and master audio and proper techniques for working with video. She participated in National Technical Honor Society and recorded six hours of production for Main Street Radio Players (directed by Nathan Christiansen) as part of her capstone. Emily was recognized as the top student in her class after course completion.
